Born on January 9, 1982, in Chicago, Illinois, Laurie Jo Fetter established herself as a versatile model and actress with a background in both athletics and the performing arts. Her early years were marked by a diverse range of interests; she began acting in grade school plays at age eight, took voice lessons for six years, and even appeared on the cover of a national sewing magazine at age eleven. During high school, she was an active athlete, playing varsity soccer while also competing as a gymnast and training as a kickboxer.
Laurie gained international recognition when she was named the Playboy Playmate of the Month for May 2003. Following her debut, she became a frequent contributor to the magazine and its associated media. Her career extended into acting and television, including a guest role on the hit series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and a part in the indie thriller Hiters. In 2005, she received an Award for Excellence for Best Actress at the Japanese Adult Broadcasting Awards for her work on the "Playmate Profile" series.
