Story
Set in Paris, 'Nana' follows an ingenue who arrives at a high-class bordello and quickly learns to use her erotic innocence to rise through the ranks of society. She becomes a popular courtesan, parlaying this into owning a house bought by a wealthy banker. However, she leaves him for her neighbor, a count known for his impeccable rectitude, and his impressionable son. The count's life spirals out of control as he caters to Nana's whims, mortgaging his lands to satisfy her demands.
